Nice Sunday

2 days ago we were invited by Renu, Wen Ter and Gouri for lunch at The Pavillion at South East Flats. I heard that they woke up at 3am to prepare all the food!

Yup, they prepared ALL the food....thumbs up! =)

It was a lovely day. Food was great, we chatted, played pool/ping pong/piano (why all started with P?)...and I shall remember this part of the conversation when we were talking about Chau Wang being chased by the a duck...but nah I'm not talking about the duck now. We were chatting about the ducks at the lake next to The Pavillion, then the ducks at the big lake near to our halls...

...and yeah we were talking about the ducks at the big lake, then someone said there was a swan too, and just then we suddenly thought, "How do you say 'swan' in BM?"

I asked Adilah who was sitting beside me, "Swan BM call what?"

She thought for a while....then asked Nadiah not far away, "Ehh swan panggil apa?"

Nadiah stopped what she was doing and thought for a while too....then she asked Isyak sitting at the sofa, "Swan panggil apa?"

Isyak also didn't know! And then we were all laughing, no one knew what is swan called in BM...hahaha what a joke for us =P

1st celebration after exam!

It's Daniel's birthday today! Happy birthday Daniel! Finally he joined the 20 club...hahaha~

Each of us prepared a dish and we had lunch together at the common room.

It seemed not much but everyone was stuffed! If I list out the food we had....green curry, roasted chicken, vege + pork mince, cabbage, two dishes of fish, another dish of chicken, boiled eggs, hash brown...we had biscuits with dip as starter and watermelon and the birthday cake as appetizer! Not forgetting the drinks....so you see how can we not get stuffed? =P

We chit-chatted for quite some time, it's a long time since we last had a get-together like this. “很幸福” (Kaiwen 2008). Some of us went to play basketball after that, while others went back to their rooms. I went back to my room and heard some voices at the lawn...

I went to joined the rest to play basketball for a while after that and we played till 4pm. Nah we weren't running around much....we were mainly just throwing the basketball into the net >.<

Unlimited free calls =D

I was so happy and excited when I read the email from Skype (I suscribed to their newsletter about new features and stuff) today! They gave me a voucher for one month of FREE Unlimited World Suscription, which means I can call to most countries in the world (landlines only) for FREE! Yooohooo! And of course I redeemed the voucher at once =D

I then called home and talked for about an hour. I wanted to surprise my mom and sisters, so I imitated my sisters' friends way of calling by saying, "请问 Rachel 有在吗？" It was my mom who picked up the call. I repeated the sentence 3 times because she couldn't hear what I was saying, and yet she didn't recognise my voice! Hahaha...when she passed the phone to my sister, I asked her to guess who it was and she immediately knew it was me LOL! I rarely called home because we used to web cam via Skype, and when my mom and sister knew the call was free, we started chatting about a lot of random stuff...from school to friends to exams to holidays and to my youngest sister. Joanne was still at school for some 华乐 practice, apparently she's the leader for the instrument she's playing (I don't know how to type it out in Chinese)...wow! She's still so busy even after her PMR examination...I don't remember being as busy as her after my PMR back then, what I remember was that we used to relax and have fun most of the time! Rachel said her SPM exam will start on November 11th/12th, and I told her that my exam will have finished by then...she said, 'Yerr don't tell me that!' LOL

We hung up a few minutes before my dinner time. I checked the details of the Unlimited World Suscription to see which countries are included under the suscription...yes, calls to landlines in Australia and Malaysia are free, so as New Zealand, Japan and UK, but not US, Hong Kong, China, Canada and Singapore. You know who is the next person I intended to call - princess Teo! I wanted to greet her good morning =) So yeah, I dialled her number, and how shocked I was when the words '0.235AUD per minute' appeared on the screen! I thought it was supposed to be FREE?? Hmmm.... I re-checked the suscription details again, and it's stated that for UK, only calls to the area code 01 and 02 are included....arrrggghhh...why not Manchester??? Sigh...sorry Angelene...I thought I could give you a surprise >.<

Oh, to my friends in Malaysia, give me your landline number so I can call you! Hehe~ so fun!

Received this huge parcel today. I've never received such huge parcel before (apart from one big box of clothes sent by my parents last year). Totally didn't expect this!

Okay this time I can't recognise the handwriting, but I know who the sender is....coz Yun told me earlier =P

So much cute stuff inside!! =D You might be wondering why did she use such a big box...her reason was: she couldn't find a smaller one...and she told me that she even had to go to the photocopy shop to ask for the box @.@

She sew the heart herself! Awww so sweet! And so surprising! =P I have to admit that my sewing skills are not as good as hers...(the heart is not stick to the envelope if that's what you are thinking). And see the words on the envelope...yup, I'm the most SS princess wahaha =P

This made my day...I'm so so happy...feel blessed. I never expect my friends in Malaysia to post me something for my birthday. When Yun told me she and Chui Shen sent me stuff, I thought she meant a birthday card. And I was surprised to receive pressies! =) It doesn't matter whether it's late or not...it's the heart that matters =) Just like Chui Shen said, “迟到好过没到，对不对？有心就好了，对不对？” Yes, 有心就好 =D (this also 'applies' to anyone who sent me gifts...yup, Yun and Angelene, I don't mind them being late. I love gifts! And to Chien and Conney, though unfortunately the cards were lost, I still feel blessed because I know I am loved ^_^)
