From perfect lady

Received this huge parcel today. I've never received such huge parcel before (apart from one big box of clothes sent by my parents last year). Totally didn't expect this!

Okay this time I can't recognise the handwriting, but I know who the sender is....coz Yun told me earlier =P

So much cute stuff inside!! =D You might be wondering why did she use such a big box...her reason was: she couldn't find a smaller one...and she told me that she even had to go to the photocopy shop to ask for the box @.@

She sew the heart herself! Awww so sweet! And so surprising! =P I have to admit that my sewing skills are not as good as hers...(the heart is not stick to the envelope if that's what you are thinking). And see the words on the envelope...yup, I'm the most SS princess wahaha =P

This is a massage thingy...the giraffe head is so cute!!! =D

This made my day...I'm so so happy...feel blessed. I never expect my friends in Malaysia to post me something for my birthday. When Yun told me she and Chui Shen sent me stuff, I thought she meant a birthday card. And I was surprised to receive pressies! =) It doesn't matter whether it's late or not...it's the heart that matters =) Just like Chui Shen said, “迟到好过没到,对不对?有心就好了,对不对?” Yes, 有心就好 =D (this also 'applies' to anyone who sent me gifts...yup, Yun and Angelene, I don't mind them being late. I love gifts! And to Chien and Conney, though unfortunately the cards were lost, I still feel blessed because I know I am loved ^_^)

Thank you my dear perfect lady Chui Shen! Appreciate it!

谢谢你,“宇宙超级无敌”零缺点完美美少女吕翠娴!=P

God is so real =D

Put that title as my personal message in MSN. Amelene came and asked me what made me think God is so real. Here's the story:

Few weeks ago (after I have known that the cards from Conney and Chien were lost) I was worried that if there would be any more cards for me but might have been lost again. I very 厚脸皮 asked my princess whether did she send me anything and I told her the reason for asking that question. She was kinda reluctant to tell me that she did send me something and it was supposed to be a surprise, but because I asked that question, it was no longer a surprise anymore. I was actually surprised that she said she sent me something ("prepared nice nice")...I meant, it's not only a card, there's something more. So I said thank you and told her that I would wait patiently...even though I knew it usually only takes about 1 week to send anything from Malaysia to Australia.

One day passed, 2 days, 3 days...I waited and waited. One week passed. I was even more worried. And kinda frustrated why this kind of thing always happen to me. I actually 'pity' the sender who put in the effort to make/write things to send to me but I didn't receive them (more than I 'pity' myself). I guess I'm immuned to lost mails already. Yet, I continued to pray...there is still hope. Hoping that I would know what happened to that something my princess sent me. And hoping that it would reach me some time later if possible.

There's no postal service during the weekends. On Monday I checked my mailbox again. No yellow card for me to collect parcel. Arrghh. I went straight to the office to ask if there's anything for me since the past week. None. I wondered what happened. The lady at the reception asked whether did I know what's in the parcel. "Ermm...present??" I said. She laughed, yeah you wouldn't know what's inside it if it's a present! LOL. She suggested me to ask my friend to track down the parcel. Yeah, why not? So I emailed my princess, hoping that something could be done to it. And I prayed.

Tuesday came. Before dinner I took my linen to be exchanged for clean ones (linen exchange service every Tuesday). I walked pass the mail box area. Why not check the mail box today to see if there's any yellow card for me? I thought. So I opened my mail box....omg there's a yellow card!! Grabbed it and saw that my name was written on it! Signature required. I went back to my room to get my student ID and went to the office for the parcel. WOOHOO! FINALLY! And all the while I thought it's lost!!! The moment I received the parcel, first thing that came into mind was 'God answered our prayer!' I was so happy. Texted princess to inform and thank her.

Wahahaha I got the parcel!! Wonder what's inside??

Turned to the back of the parcel...

CD, photo & music box...

CD??? Wow...I wondered what's inside the CD! And a music box...hahaha =D

But it's my turn to cook dinner that day. And it's cooking time...my cooking buddies were waiting for dinner to be served. So I gotta put that in my room and cooked dinner. Was a bit 手忙脚乱 at the kitchen coz I was too happy. LOL.

Came back to my room after dinner to open the gift. What's inside the CD? I'm so not gonna tell =P

Thank you darling princess! And thank God for everything =)

[If I were to say in your language: it made my heart meltz....]

When I least expect it

Time: Around 9pm

Date: 1st February

Symptoms:
- At a loss of words

- Stoned facial expression coz kept staring at the person in front
- Increased heart beat
- Expressionless (only one expression - shocked)

Cause: the return of the SS queen

Treatment: her smile and her face

Description:

The house phone rang and I went to pick up the call. I said "hello" to the receiver but no one answered. The line went dead. Another prank call, I thought. I then continued playing games. A while later, I heard my mom shouted my name. She said that my friend came to see me. Upon hearing my mom saying my friend's name, I yelled a really loud "HAR?!" and rushed to the door to see if it's really her. I thought that my mom might have recognised the wrong person. I fixed my eyes on the girl standing at the gate. Though it's quite dark, I could see that it's really her. My heart missed a beat; I didn't know if I was supposed to believe my own eyes. Yet without second thought I dashed for the gate at once, and was at dismay when I saw that the gate was locked. I was about to rush in the house to get the keys but she stopped me. I walked towards her while gazing straight at her. "SURPRISE!" she said. I was too shocked to answer her anything. I felt myself going emotionless and expressionless. She looks so pretty, I thought. It took me a few seconds to realise that she was asking "are you happy to see me??" (I think she was more excited than me!) "Yes..." I said. I thrust my hands front to squeeze her ears and cheeks coz I couldn't hug her as the gate was between us. "This is for you," she said as she pushed an orange and a piece of note into my hands. "I called your house earlier to make sure that you are around and luckily you picked up the phone..." "So it's you who made that prank call!" I exclaimed. How smart. She said that she just came back that day and would only be around for a few days. "I'll come and look for you tomorrow k!"

Imagine how happy I was!

Additional notes:

"Do you know that the reason I come back is to meet you?" This phrase startled me even more, and I am really grateful to know her and have her as my bestest buddy and God-sent angel (I really believe this). I really appreciate that you came all the way to give me this surprise ^_^ love you!

Selamat pulang ke tanahair

I reached Malaysia on 14th November at 5.45am. The flight took about 8 hours and all I did during the flight was playing games (besides sleeping but it's not as comfortable as sleeping on a bed =P) . My dad was at KLIA to pick me up. He hugged me and said 'Welcome back'. We chat a lot on the way back to my relative's house in Sri Petaling. We had dim sum for breakfast but I did not eat a lot because I did not have appetite. Ever since finishing exam my sleeping and eating patterns jumbled up because of time constraint - I only had less than 4 days before going back. I spent a lot of time on packing; I slept at almost 5am for three consecutive days.

The first thing I did was to give a surprise to my dear friend
Siew Ting. I lied to her about one month plus ago that I would come back on 20th November, which is the day she'll finish her exams. All this while I had been planning carefully; informing whoever likely to chat with her or contact with her, told them my plans and asked them not to let her know the exact date of me coming back to Malaysia. I even asked Christine to help me make sure that she would be at home at Vista Komanwel that morning. My plan went smoothly as I went to look for her at noon. I called her mobile with my Maxis number and said ‘开门’ and hang up. (Apparently she also said '你在哪里’ but we didn't hear what both of us said to each other =.=). I waited for quite sometime but she didn't open the door. What I heard was that she was talking with her housemates and checking the dates, something like ‘今天十四号?!’ to confirm the date. I was laughing in my heart when I heard that. As I was sweating and could not wait any longer, I simply said, ‘你再不开门我就走了哦’ (again, she didn't hear this) but coincidentally she opened the door. She screamed when she saw me, screaming at me while I just smiled. My trick/plan worked!! She gave me a hug and led me in the house while her housemates came out to see what happened. Christine was still having class and I already told her earlier that we would be having lunch together. Meanwhile, I chat with Siew Ting and told her that 'the whole world knows when I'm coming back except you'. I brought them Krispy Kreme doughnuts, chocolates and some souvenirs. It's so nice to see your friends' happy faces =D After Christine came back from uni, they brought me to have lunch at the IMU canteen. Li Xian called me after that and we chat a while. Everyone's busy preparing for exam!

Christine and me

Me and Siew Ting

In the evening, I went to visit Angelene (all of them stayed close to each other at Vista Komanwel apartments). ‘可以抱抱先吗?’ was the first thing she said when she saw me. As planned earlier, she bought nasi lemak for me and we chat the whole night. She also made barley drink for me! It's really cooling as I was feeling hot and sweating ever since I reached Malaysia. I gave her souvenirs from Melbourne while she gave me some souvenirs from Greece - it was like an exchange of gifts, haha!

Me and my guardian angel

Krispy Kreme! Mmmmm....

I bought a dozen of assorted doughnuts =D

Heat it up for 8 seconds if you want it hot!

Oh well, it's been a long time since I saw anyone of them. Yesterday I came back to KB and my friends namely Chui Shen, Wei Yong and Li Shan came to visit me. There have been a lot of changes to my
house. More paintings, photos, pets (2 dogs, 2 rabbits), decorative items, 装饰品 etc...I think the only places in my house without changes are the kitchen and the toilets, LOL...

An Angel prayer.. =)

"Dear Lord, I commit Jessica my dearest sis into Your mighty hands.

Lord, You understand how she feels now, the worriedness and the anxieties.. Lord You have bring her so far, and this time I pray again that You can lay Your hand upon her again.

Let her feel Your holy spirit is with her.

Remove her nervousness and grant her with a good understanding as she does her revision.

Lord, give her good memory to remember what she has studied so that she will apply them appropriately on exam later.

Father I also ask that You will grant her with good rest every night and feel fresh the next morning to fight the battle for You and eventually bring glory to Your name.

I just pray that You will calm her now and let her not feel stress or scared about the giant which is the exam for You promise us that You will help us and just have faith in You.

So finally Lord, I pray she will continue to place her trust in You and draw strength from You when she feels tired or weak for You are always a caring and loving Father.

Thank You Lord, in Jesus name I pray, Amen..."

She typed the prayer sentence by sentence, choosing her words carefully as she went, and by the time she finished her last sentence my eyes were already soaking wet. She always made me feel touched with little things that she had done. She was patient with me though she was busy. We were so far from each other but it's great that we can be connected by one God, she said.

During the holidays last year I read a book and came across such an angel prayer..

"Angel dear, my guardian dear, to whom its love commits you near, ever this day be at my side to light and guard, to rule and guide."

Here I'd like to thank God for letting me to meet and recognise my guardian angel early in my life. I'd also like to thank you, my guardian angel, for everything you have done, and I pray that your prayers will be answered.. =) You are always my guardian angel *hugss hugss*

I am happy today!

Janet gave me a tight tight (notice that I repeat the word) hug today! It's then I realise that I haven't hugged anyone for such a long time...hugs are always so full of warmth, care and love...and the best thing is, they are free! =) Thanks dear for brighten up my day!

--------------------------------------------------------------

Last night we gave Ryan a surprise birthday party! He's the third in our group to turn 20 today. Our initial plan was to splash him with water to make him wet, but knowing that he's a bit sick and we are considerate and kind people..hehe..so we changed our plan. Yun Ying and Justina blindfolded him and led him around the halls and the lake...walking down stairs, between tree trunk (this is soooo fun!) and a slope...we also asked him to do a frog jump but he wouldn't, thinking that he would land up in the lake...haha! We then asked him to squat down in front of the birthday cake and told him that the cake was 3.3metres away from him (it's actually only bout 33cm)...Who knows he really believed and was about to jump a few steps ahead but luckily we managed to stop him before he spoiled the whole cake. Before taking off the cloth over his eyes, we asked him, 'Who is the first person you want to see when you open your eyes?' He said, 'JUSTINA! Coz today not yet hit her head..' =.= What answer is that..

Anyway, we sang birthday song and gave him the presents - a book and a bottle of red wine. We sat down near the lake and started to have a long talk while eating cake. We even had a Q&A session for him! Each one of us asked a question (for more info please refer to Ryan's blog). We chatted till about 12am then retired to our rooms, exhausted coz lack of sleep.

--------------------------------------------------------------

I was feeling so sleepy since morning today. I don't like Thursday's classes. I don't like Syndicate tutorials, I feel that I can't learn much in that two hours. Afternoon was worse, we had 'Home' tutorial. It's about sociology, culture and stuff like that...which I am not interested in as well...and I was like dozing off every ten minutes even thought I sat directly in front of the tutor! I couldn't help it, it's like I was tak bermaya coz lack of sleep. I came back feeling tired and without energy or strength. I switched on my laptop and read some blogs...till I came across Angelene's blog and realised that she just did the 70 questions taggie.....and guess what?

Her answers to questions regarding me put a smile to my face...and suddenly I don't feel as lethargic anymore!

See now understand why I said she's an angel sent from heaven? =)

this post is for YOU...

Nothing special occurred in KB or in my house recently, so I'm going to blog about someone I knew..

She is one special person to me. It's her inner beauty that draws me to be close friends with her... She never fails to pour out her care to friends around her, showering her love upon them. She is really one caring friend who is always ready to help anyone in need. Almost everyone in our secondary school knows her, either by person or by name...it's because she has many admirers around! Haha... even teachers also know her as she is always asking questions in class as well as in tuition. An apple to the teacher's eye, eh?

I was in the same class with her in Form 2 and 3 but in different class from her in Form 4 and 5. Maybe you will think that we were close friends since Form 2 or 3, but ironically it's when we were in different class that we started to get closer. I think it's thanks to the tuition classes that we attended. I don't know since when or how we started to have this kind of 默契.. she's so SS and tends to be manja at times. She did things that people didn't normally do. For example, in tuition class, everyone would be listening tentatively to the teacher (minus the chatting part).. and sometimes while the teacher turned to write something on the board, she would turn to me who was sitting behind her and smiled or said a soft 'Hello'. so cute! Mind you, that's during tuition! How many people would do that when the whole class was so quiet? Another example would be in another tuition class which she always sat beside me... she would suddenly use her pen to hit my arm lightly just to grab my attention... and when I turned to her with question marks on why she did that, she would chuckle and gave me that sweet smile of hers as an answer.

Sometimes in school she would come to my class, either to look for some people or to pass something or a message from teacher...Every time I would smile at her as she came in and went out as a sign of polite gesture. Sometimes I would call her before she walked out of the classroom to whisper things at her ear...hehe! If I pretended not to look at her or didn't pay any attention to her as she walked into my class, before leaving she would touch my head then left without saying a word, leaving me feeling quite embarrased coz being treated like a small kid, plus my friends would laugh at me. Was that a way of saying 'hi'? I thought.

During the two years of Form 4 and 5 she taught me a lot of things. She encouraged me in my studies while I gave her moral support to face her piano exam.. She would look for me when she had any problems in Additional Maths, and she would listen to me patiently as I told her problems that I was facing at that time. She's like a God-sent angel to guide and help me whenever I need it... (read till here, sure can guess who's she right? =P) Most importantly, she influenced me to open my heart. I have to admit that she's the one who taught me the power and the meaning of the word 'love' in a strong-bond friendship..that is, friends are always there for each other...no matter what happens, right? (at least not something against the law then cukup lo..)

Well, I'm glad that I'm still close friends with her...though I don't get to see her often, she never miss giving me a hug whenever we meet! =D

See what you have done that make me feel so touched, dear!
Those were the memories that I would never forget, you know?

p/s: When can we meet? I miss you so much...Angelene!!!

HapPy bIrThdAy Ting Ting dear dear!!

Today is Siew Ting's birthday! Yoyo, 19 already oh! And when it's her birthday, it means that this year is going to end soon... kinda fast..

I recalled those days in Semester 1 (last year) when we were staying at Block 7 of Akasia, I barely knew
Siew Ting and Siaw Tze but they came to my room often (to look for Amelene?).. There's when I got to know Siew Ting - a sweet and friendly cute gal! There's something that drove me to think that, hmm, I like this gal... Never it struck me that she would become one important and special person to me. Throughout the year our friendship grew and we became close friends. Or more, intimate friends...

Ting Ting, I'm glad that we cherished our days together so far...Thank you for being such a nice friend..You open your heart to me, and I open mine... Words that you said, like when you said that you are always with me, I know that you mean it, and I really appreciate you saying that as it meant a lot to me. You tell me about your feelings, and I tell you about my dreams.. You said that people tend to think a lot during the holidays and you are one of them, but I guess I'm also like that (similar personality?).. You lend me your ears and I lend you mine, that is the most important thing to me~

Remember last time we used to call you nicknames? You didn't seem to mind, and you responded in a cute way instead.. even when we teased you! And that's what I like about you... your cuteness and sweetness! And also SS-ness...haha! And I love you because of your showering love and care as you are always there for me! =D '
This is what friends are for..' (a phrase from my mom)

Too bad that I can't buy you a birthday cake now... I know that's what you want.. If I meet you in January I'll buy you whatever cake you want okay? Hehe~ Smile more ya, coz you have a dazzling smile that will brighten up anybody's day!

Once again, haPpY bIrThdAy dear, with lots of hugs and kisses from me at West Malaysia to you at East Malaysia.. lalala~ enjoy your day to its fullest ya!

Friendship forever~!! *hugsss*

A n g e L

Took a Tickle test called 'What's your goddess identity?'. And my result was 'You're an Angel!' Woohoo~ and the explanation of my result:

Just like the haloed and winged guardians of good, you truly have a heart of gold, sweet Angel. Whenever there's a chance to pitch in, save the day or just make life easier for the people around you, you're the one for the job.

You don't just jump in without planning - you use your angelic head to figure out how to do things right the first time, like only the most dependable goddesses can. Whether brainstorming a new solution to a problem, planning a surprise party for your parents, or lending your friends a wing to cry one, you've got the right instincts, so follow them whenever you can. As natural as it is for you to take care of the people around you, don't forget to treat yourself right, too. The best friendships, and loves, of a lifetime tend to blossom when you become your own guardian angel.

So don't listen to those who say nice girls finish last. People have always seen you as a goddess of thoughtfulness and good intentions, and it hasn't slowed you down a bit. All in all, Angel, you've got it made with your glowing attitude and ability to see from on high. So get out there and change the world!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hmm, I thought... when you become your own guardian angel.. when I become my own guardian angel?? What does it mean? I'm thinking of Angelene who's been my guardian angel since secondary school. She's always so sweet and nice, and capable of providing encouragement and comfort to those around her who need it. She told me that she's my God-sent angel (just like the word Angel in her name!) who'll always be there for me whenever I need it. She made me realise what sort of person I am, and she showed me the wonders of a great friendship as she showered me with her care and love. I appreciate everything that she did--listening to me crapping, admiring my work, helping me in Chinese, keeping me company and making funny actions in tuition.. It's those small things that made our friendship blossomed. As a saying goes, 'Friendship is made up of a million little things' (some sort like that, I can't remember the whole sentence). And she's the only one who asks me whether do I have any prayer request. =)

Awww.... I miss her so much. Haven't seen her for months though she's staying near to my relative's house in Sri Petaling >.<

=^_^=

Last Wednesday we had mashed potato, fried chicken and vegetable soup for dinner. I prepared the mashed potato while Amelene fried the small pieces of chicken leg and dumped the vegetables in the rice cooker for the soup, which Kia Miang had washed and cut earlier before she went jogging. Siaw Tze was supposed to come and help us at 5pm but due to some unknown reasons she didn't. Never mind, we thought.. there's still one last job for her to do.. WASHING the plates!! =P

We finished preparing the food at about 6pm. I misscalled Siaw Tze to ask her to come and eat. Few minutes later she turned up at my door, saying, "So nice.. I can even smell the chicken from ground floor downstairs!!" Amelene said, "Of couse lah, I cooked one ma... You have to see who's the cook!" I faced Siaw Tze and told her that she had to wash ALL the plates after eating. "Yerr.. Don't want.. Later I have tutorial practice.. No time to wash.." was what she answered. "I don't care~" I said playfully. She excused herself and said that she wanted to take her bath first, had her materials for tutorial photocopied, then only come and join us for dinner. We said OK and waited for her..but we were so hungry, so we ate first. The mashed potato and fried chicken were marvellous.. and the soup, too. There were 9 pieces of chicken, and Amelene who initially didn't want to eat because she had a sore throat, said that she wanted one piece.. So I ushered her to take one. I took 2 pieces for myself, and left 6 for Kia Miang and Siaw Tze, 3 pieces each.

Amelene: Oopps.. I took one already and you only have two to eat.. why not you take one more, give Siaw Tze two pieces only since she didn't do any work..

Me: Never mind lah..Give her 3 pieces..It's OK..

Amelene: Waahh, you very sayang her noh..

Me: =^_^= *smiles*

SEE?! I sayang her so much...do you know that, big sis?? =P

Anyway she did wash up all the plates after dinner. For goodness's sake.

f r i e n d s . .

There were many interesting things and meaningful events that happened around me recently, and I know they would become those sweet memories which I would treasure forever. On Wednesday night, I read Siaw Tze's blog about her birthday celebration which was on last Thursday. I was kinda laughing all the way through reading her blog because I was one of those involved in giving her such a wonderful big surprise. And all of us were really good actors as our plan went well. We all pretended that we were not going to celebrate her birthday and just remained calm as usual. And we KNEW that she felt soooooooo disappointed because she thought that there's no birthday party or surprises since it's her once-in-a-lifetime 20-year-old birthday (quoted from her blog). I can still remember how speechless and shocked she was when she opened her door and saw the whole lot of us with TWO birthday cakes. (well I'm not going to elaborate further since I'd be repeating the same things as what she wrote on her blog). What I wanna state is that....the value of friendship is so powerful and important that it touches my heart greatly and deeply. I witnessed the great friendship and love between Siaw Tze and Siew Ting...the younger ST prepared and did so much things just for her birthday..not to mention that she's the one who seems to be taking care of the older ST instead of the older one taking care of the younger one. Haha!! >.<

Upon coming to INTEC to study, I have learnt how to really appreciate others and express our care and love for them. I think that's the way it's like when one goes to study in a college where different people with different characteristics from all places come and study at the same place as you. It's different from things you learnt from friends you made in primary or secondary school, and till now I still can't figure out the reason and explanation behind it. Chien mentioned that in her blog too...where she said that her college friends seem to be closer to her compared to kb friends!! haha. Maybe because when you're with people from 'outstation' you tend to be more open I guess. Or maybe because you are staying under one roof with your college friends, so you get to know them better through their lifestyle and habits at home. hmmmm..

Well, here I would like to express my gratitude to those who know me, and to those friends in INTEC, thanks to you all for making the life at Kolej Akasia so fun and interesting. Love you guys~~!!

Dedicated to my roommie and housemates, big sis ST and barbie doll ST.. =P
