今天感觉好温馨

短短的几句 MSN 留言,可以很温馨。

谢谢你,玲智。(我也爱你哦)

谢谢你,炜蓉。(我会尽量 update 我的部落格的)

=^_^=

Looking forward

April is coming to an end.

Many of my friends have gone to rural placement and they'll only come back next Friday. It's Urban week for me so I'm staying here. Deakin seems to be quieter (well 2nd floor at least!)

Weather has turned really cold; one heater seems insufficient. Luckily I have another heater with me.

Went to the music room (1st time this year) after coming back from my community placement yesterday. Today was the 2nd time. Realised that my fingers are not really that nimble anymore when I'm playing with extra speed. I have to practise more often!

Missing the person in the photo in front of my desk. Miss the sweet face, the loud voice, the unique laughter, the interesting stories and the hugs.

Colours, culture and food

It's International Food Festival organised by MUMUS and Ignite (both are medical students organisation) yesterday. Everyone's supposed to bring some food from his or her cultural background and wear traditional clothes to the event, and also donate $5 to charity. I like going to this type of event, besides knowing about other cultures, you get to know people, eat different kinds of food and take photos!
Guess what we brought....

Nah not this...this yummy-looking dessert was brought by MDA.

We brought Malaysian chicken curry and roti canai (roti prata) and I can say it's very 受欢迎 as the pots we put the curry and roti in were clean empty by the end of the event *yay*

With Sayuri (Sally) - the 'Japanese girl' in our course =D

With Pallu - my anatomy tute-mate last semester and this semester!

Saw this cute Snoopy tupperware....it's so nice and cute that I didn't really notice what's the food inside the tupperware

With Daniel my CBP mate...I think he's wearing Egyptian

'Family' - you can tell who's the father and mother right? And us 4 kids =P

Group pic!

Another nice picture in my camera

I like the colour of their dresses....very matching

There're also a few dances performed by our batchmates, really 大开眼界 @.@ There's also a guy who sang 童话, the famous song by 光良 without background music and his voice is so high-pitched! Besides that, we also got to introduce our costumes =) It's really a fun and interesting night!

A trip to "London"

Went there after our exam for lunch with Sheryl, Ryan and Yun Ying. Did some shopping as well...bought some nice cards, a pink towel and a pillow (for Siaw Tze when she comes to Melbourne!). We also had milkshake each...with such large size at only $3.50 =)

Saw this cute car on the way

A really magnificent Presbyterian church, it was built in 1864 and re-erected in 1935...its architecture made us feel like as though we're in London

Sheryl and me...the structure behind looks like...erm...shell?

Saw this sign outside a shop

Me and Yun Ying in Sheryl's car....I really like my scarf =D

Music has become part of my life

When I was in secondary school, I didn't listen to any particular type of music and remember the rhythm, nor did I know which singer sang which song. I never know the names of popular singers (except Teresa Teng as my mom loved her songs and the last character of my Chinese name was actually taken from her name); and I never/seldom know what title was the song which I would be listening to over the radio.

I did remember one particular song, however, and I remembered its title - 热带雨林. But I didn't know who sang it that time...it was till last year when I started listening to S.H.E that I only found out it's one of their songs. I also remembered 波斯猫 but only the chorus part.

The first Cantonese song I listened to (and remember) over the radio (my mom's radio is on 24-7 as long as we are not sleeping yet) was 福气. Again, it was till last year that I found it's sung by Kelly 陈慧琳.

Once during Physics tuition in Form 5, Hui Cheng told us that she would be going to JJ 林俊杰's concert (held at my school stadium if I remember correctly). I didn't know how he looked like or what songs he sang that time. Another time in the same tuition, someone passed Huey Shann 光良's first album bought from his concert. 2 or 3 years later I realised that his songs were not bad either; and my sister even had the music score for his debut song 童话.

When my dad just bought me my laptop and I started loading it with songs (I forgot where I got the songs from, but most were from friends - I never download songs then), there was this one song that Amelene and me both liked, and we both thought that it was kinda long (5 minutes plus, an average song will be around 3 minutes). We used to listen to that song again and again but I didn't know the title and singer for the song. One year later I found out that it's 丝路 sang by Fish 梁静茹. I remembered there was once that I took some songs of 周杰伦 from Cheah Yen, it was then I realised that 可爱女人 was one of his songs.

Thanks to DC++ that I now have albums of several singers; that I now know which singer sang which song; and that I found listening to music as an enjoyment and entertainment in my life. =)

p/s: And now I wonder why did I use ^music-gal^ as my nickname in mIRC last time...do you know why, }{pOp}{ ?
Happy birthday to Yun...

who turned 21 yesterday!!

Stay pretty and sweet as always =) I miss you.

I shall remember today

First time in the so many months I have been here that the wind blew so strongly...It's so strong that it's like dust everywhere, couldn't even walk in a straight line without the tendency of falling...some trees even fell due to the strong wind (there's one that fell in front of Menzies), false alarms at the Menzies building (probably due to the wind, that's weird) and there's even power outage at the Caulfield campus (knew this from the email sent by the Uni). It really hindered us to walk from one lecture theatre to another! Dust just flew straight into your eyes as soon as you walked out of a building! My file would have been blown away had I not grab it tightly; our hoodies clung to our heads as being blown by the wind. We could really hear the howling of wind while inside the lecture theatre which I thought was a thunder initially *probably exaggerating but that's what I heard*

First time I stepped into the small library located at first floor of campus centre. Went there with Li Ping during the one-hour break between lectures in the afternoon. It's unusually quiet compared to the noisy surroundings (hustle and bustle?) of campus centre. There're a lot of videos and posters that can be borrowed, and of course books such as novels, fiction, jokes etc. Again we could hear the howling of the wind.

First time I lost a keychain...I found that the palm-sized teddy bear keychain which I attached to my bag was lost when I came back after lecture. Chean Ying said that she actually saw it on the floor while we were walking past Menzies building. Haiz. And it was raining then. Poor bear soaking wet in the rain...and probably blown away by the wind already.
