A day to Royal Botanical Gardens & casino

Yesterday (7/6/2007) we went to the Royal Botanical Gardens. This time Yu Wan joined us! It's not often that she joined us going out, haha. Nature and taking pictures really interest her. The 7 of us were separated into two groups - Ryan, Yun Ying and Chau Wang went to the Immigration Department to get their visa label and working permits while Yu Wan, Daniel, Yeu Sheng and me went to Borders at Melbourne Central. And we spent about 3 hours there!! Imagine that! I was looking through a book (you can say 'reading') till I was about to fall asleep...

After that the four of us went to have lunch. Sushi and sashimi! Yummy!! (luckily Chean Ying was not there, she sure couldn't stand raw food =P) I luuuuurrrve sashimi!! (I love eating alright.) ‘吃东西是人生的其中一个享受’(Yeu Sheng 2007)

Sushi set - sushi + sashimi + chicken skewers which cost me $12.30 (convert if you like, but actually now I don't mind anymore)

After lunch, we took the city tram to a shrine near the Royal Botanical Gardens. The place was really beautiful and we started taking pictures.

Yu Wan, me, Yeu Sheng

And this was also where we discovered a lazy sloth on a tree.

See that sloth? *hiak hiak hiak*

Next we went to the gardens, taking pictures all the way while finding the other 3 friends. It's early winter and there were not many flowers but the gardens were full of colours of the autumn =)

Us girls (too bad the roses withered)

We walked for about 3 hours in the gardens (2.30pm - 5.30pm). That was supposed to be our exam time if our exam had not been postponed =P

After that we took tram back to Yarra river and had dinner by the river bank, then went to Crown Casino! Yeah casino here allows persons over 18 to enter (the age limit is not 21) and so we went in except Chau Wang and Yu Wan. The rest of us applied for the Crown Club membership and got the card but then we later realised that we did not know how to play the machines =.= kinda complicated...we also knew that money flies away very fast in casinos, hehe. We did not play any though.

Anyway, to finish this post, we went back at 9.30pm by train from Flinders Street Station and reached our halls at about 10.30pm, happy that we took about 900 photos at the Royal Botanical Gardens with 4 cameras. =D
